Vector Fins Maui was founded in 1998 by Jeff Fagerholm. Jeff is a very experienced slalom racer (winner in the Maui Race Series, US Nationals, Gorge Cup) sailor, skier and pilot.
With a background in making ski bindings / fitting, the fin development has a solid base of engineering know how where only the very best is acceptable. Jeff will test most of the fins himself and together with the input from the team give him lot of motivation to develop new ideas.
10 years ago PWA racer Jesper Orth AUS 10, based in Perth – Australia, started to test the Vector Fins and instantly felt in love with their performance. Since then it has been a “fruit full” developing friendship between Jeff Fagerholm and Jesper. In 2010 Jesper started the Vector Fins Australia import that has been seeing good progress in the Australian market.
“What I like with Jeff is that no idea is to stupid to try out. When I a few years back wanted some fins with not much rake and placed forward in the box, he just said “OK lets try it out”… There is a constant development going on and it is a great team to be a part of. All the fin models is tested world over before it is available to the public and there is a core group of team riders testing non stop. It is great to could advice on fins where you have a very in deep insight on the products.”
Jesper
Jesper has been doing the PWA World Tour in Slalom over the last 7 years and windsurfed for 22 years in total. With the 14 years involvement in developing products for the windsurf industry (North Sails One Design, Gaastra, Severne, Starboard, RRD, F2, Aeron booms, CTM masts, FO. Jesper has gained a unique insight and feeling about product and know how. We are happy to have him on board for our ever request of developing better products…
